Do you require a meet & greet before booking?
Yes, a meet & greet is required before any services begin. This allows me to ensure that your pet is a good fit for us, and to gather important care details for your pet. The only occasional exception is for last-minute bookings and if your pet is friendly with strangers entering their home or if you will be home.
What is a meet & greet?
A meet & greet is a 30-minute meet at your home, where we can get to know each other, review your pet’s care needs, and ensure we’re a good fit for the services you require. It’s also a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with our booking system PetPocketbook. Meet & greets with just me are complimentary for new clients, but if you'd prefer to meet with a team member, there is a $20 fee for their time. During the meet & greet, we’ll discuss your pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs they may have. This is also a time to ask any questions you might have about the services, policies, or anything else related to your pet’s care.
How do I book?
After your meet & greet, we’ll set up an account for you on PetPocketbook, where you can easily book services, view upcoming visits, and make adjustments to your pet’s care instructions. You can also cancel visits as needed.
How do you accept payment?
We primarily accept payments through PetPocketbook and Zelle. We also accept cash and checks on occasion.
Do you charge extra for additional pets?
Yes, there are extra charges for additional pets depending on the service:
Drop-in visits & walks: $5-10 extra (depending on species, size and care needs)
Overnights: $20-40 extra (depending on species, size and care needs)
Adventure walks: $10 extra per additional pet
Pet taxi: $5 extra per additional pet
Pet photography: $20-40 extra for portraits
What is your cancellation policy?
Overnights (3+ nights): 7-day notice required or a cancellation fee of 30% of the total will be applied
Adventure walks, pet taxi, and photography: 48-hour notice required or a cancellation fee of 50% of the total will be applied
Drop-ins and walks: 24 to 48-hour notice appreciated
Can I request specific staff?
Yes, you can indicate your preference for a specific staff member when creating your profile and during booking. Please note that availability may vary.
Will I know who will be caring for my pets? Will it only be one person?
You will be able to see which staff member is assigned to each visit through PetPocketbook. When you receive a report card, it will include the caregiver’s name. If you prefer to have a single caregiver for your pet, we can accommodate that request, though please note that we may assign different team members for certain visits to ensure consistent care and flexibility.
How do overnights work?
Overnight stays are provided in the comfort of your pet’s home. I stay overnight from around 10 PM until 7 AM and we do two additional visits during the day—around mid-day and dinner time. If your pet requires more frequent visits, please let us know, and we can adjust the schedule. If your pet cannot be alone for more than 4 hours, that is considered constant care and will be an additional fee of $50 per day. We do not provide 24-hour care.
Do you board?
We do not offer boarding at this time, but possibly in the future!
